Secure Your Load with Confidence: Introducing Our Load Stops for Thule WingBar Evo
When youβre hauling ladders, lumber, kayaks, or any long cargo on your roof rack, the last thing you want is it shifting or slipping mid-journey. Thatβs where our Load Stops for Thule WingBar Evo come in β engineered to keep your gear plumb, stable, and safe as you travel.
What Are Load Stops β And Why Use Them?
Load stops act like bookends for your cargo. They prevent sideways (lateral) movement by giving your load something to rest against, and when paired with straps, they provide much greater security than straps alone.
Without load stops, long items may sway, which can stress straps, damage your gear, or β worst case β put other road users at risk.
Product Highlights & Key Features
Hereβs what makes our load stops a top choice for those using WingBar Evo:

- Twist knob locking mechanism β loosen the knob (the yellow twist control shown in images), slide the stops into position, and then tighten. No additional tools needed. (Buy Here)
- Height & grip β Each stop is about 150 mm (15 cm) tall to give meaningful lateral support. (Buy Here)
- Durable build β Made to tolerate road exposure, wind, rain, and vibration.
- Quick adjustment β You can slide them up and down the bar easily to match various load widths.
- Versatile usage β Good for securing ladders, wood, long pipes, rods, or any elongated cargo that needs extra lateral stability.
- Set of two stops per pack β enough to form either a forward stop or rear stop on one side (you may need more sets for more complex loads).

How to Install & Use
- Loosen the yellow twist knob, align the base with the WingBar Evoβs T-slot, and slide the stop into place.
- Position to match cargo, adjust the stops based on the width of your load so the cargo rests snug between them.
- Tighten knob, once in your desired position, twist the knob to lock securely.
- Attach straps, run ratchet or cam straps through/ around the load.
- Check movement, gently shake or attempt to move the load to confirm it stays fixed laterally and longitudinally before your journey.

Ideal use for:
Trades and construction β carry long timber, piping, conduit, ladder racks, scaffolding components without worrying about movement or shift.
Outdoor & adventure gear β secure canoes, kayaks, slim boats, poles, or even solar panels.

You can buy much cheaper load stops?
Many load stops on the market either donβt fit the newer WingBar Evo or require adapters. Our load stops are have been specifically modified for Thule's Evo WingBar T-tracks, meaning customers avoid compatibility headaches. Even Thule do not sell load stops compatible with their own WingBar Evo.
